This happens no matter the USB port or the USB cable. I checked device manager, and it shows up under "USB-Controllers" with a yellow triangle as "Unknown USB device (request of device description failed)" I'm translating from Danish here, so it might not be word for word what you'd find in English. Don't even think that the driver entry number outlined in that link is the issue at the moment.Įver since today, when I plug in my Korg Wavestate with the supplied USB cable (have tried another one, same results), I get a notfication from windows saying the device is not recognized by windows and will not work. It seems to be a known issue that the korg usb midi driver has problems with windows in some cases, but I'm pretty stumped here. Solution is to restart wavestate as I said in edit 1. After that the USB didn't get recognized. Edit 2: I remember now, it all started in FL Studio when I tried to add a "MIDI Out" channel, and it failed to initialize, causing FL to crash. D'oh! I don't know why this all happened, but now I've got some drivers to install.Hi, this is super frustrating. Edit a couple mins after posting: I fixed it! Turns out, I just had to reboot the Wavestate.
